Lucky by Design

During my MBA at Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, I had the privilege of serving as the assistant writer and researcher for a unique book by Professor Beth Goldstein, a professor of entrepreneurial marketing at BU. Titled “Lucky by Design,” the book explored the role of luck in business success and offered a practical guide on strategies for businesses to enhance their likelihood of encountering favourable opportunities on their entrepreneurial journey.

As an assistant writer and researcher, I had two primary roles. Firstly, I conducted online research to uncover unique stories about businesses whose trajectories were significantly shaped by unexpected discoveries, and a touch of luck. Secondly, I designed a questionnaire and conducted in-depth interviews with business owners and executives in the Greater Boston area. Subsequently, I synthesized the insights from the research and interviews to draft case studies that were featured in the book.
