About Me

Hello

My name is Dwight Campbell. I am a freelance digital media specialist based in Tokyo. I partner with advertising agencies and businesses to manage digital ad campaigns on Meta and Google. Currently, I manage lead generation and e-commerce advertising campaigns for brands in the United States, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.

Advertising Agency Experience

Prior to becoming a freelancer, I worked as a full time adman for about 10 years. I started out as a copywriter at CMB Creative where I worked on brands like FirstCaribbean Bank and KFC. After taking some time off to go back to school, I worked as a Strategic Planner at McCann Port of Spain. It was during this period that I transitioned from broader advertising strategy work to a more specialised focus on digital media.. After this, I worked as Paid Media Manager at Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi before becoming a freelancer in 2021.

Education

I went to Boston University, where I graduated with an MBA with a marketing concentration. My curriculum was split between business and marketing courses at the Graduate School of Management and MS in Advertising coursework at the School of Communications. At BU, I also had the pleasure of working with Beth Goldstein as an assistant writer for her book Lucky by Design. Prior to BU, I completed a BA in Pyschology at the University of Pennslyvania. There I did research with renowned positive psychology pioneer Martin Seligman on the subject of Flow.
